The Opportunity
We are seeking an Accountant to manage the accounting and reporting for multiple clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic consulting environment, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to make a tangible impact on growing companies. While primarily remote, this position requires that candidates be located on the East Coast and be available for occasional client visits as needed.
Responsibilities
- Month-End Close & Accounting
- Lead monthly close processes across multiple client accounts
- Prepare, record, and reconcile recurring and client-specific transactions
- Manage accounts payable, cash reporting, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain and optimize clients’ charts of accounts
- Reporting & Analysis
- Deliver monthly reporting packages including financial statements and variance analyses
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and expense tracking
- Provide insightful commentary on actual vs. budget performance
- Process Improvement & Technology
- Identify and implement process efficiencies to improve client reporting
- Leverage financial systems (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) for automation and scalability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4 years of accounting experience; exposure to FP&A a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite, plus Excel/Google Sheets
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables
- Self-starter mindset, comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment
