Director of DevOps (Hands-On | High-Scale .NET / Kubernetes)
One of our best clients is hiring for their high-growth, mission-critical technology platform and we're seeking a hands-on DevOps leader to take ownership of a highly scaled, high-performing environment.
This is a player-coach role — leading a strong team while staying deeply technical.
🚀 What You’ll Be Driving
- Lead and mentor a team of ~10 high-caliber DevOps engineers (team is sharp — they’ll expect a true technical leader)
- Own DevOps, Release Engineering, and Infrastructure initiatives end-to-end
- Partner closely with Engineering, SRE, and Architecture teams
- Drive performance, scalability, and reliability across a global platform
- Act as a key operational partner to executive leadership
⚙️ Environment Snapshot
- High-volume, large-scale .NET applications
- Hundreds of millions of API transactions daily
- Sub-300ms response times at scale
- Hybrid environment: On-Prem Azure (AKS/Kubernetes)
- CI/CD: Azure DevOps, Git, Octopus Deploy
- Heavy focus on performance, uptime, and zero-downtime deployments
🧠 What We’re Looking For
- Proven hands-on DevOps leadership (Director / Sr. Manager / Lead stepping up)
- Deep experience with:
- .NET production environments at scale
- Windows Server IIS
- Kubernetes (AKS strongly preferred)
- Azure DevOps (ADO) Git
- Strong understanding of:
- High-throughput systems
- API performance and latency optimization
- CI/CD pipelines and release management
