Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing and related construction activities. This role involves working on various construction sites, ensuring high-quality finishes on concrete surfaces, and collaborating with other trades to complete projects efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up work areas for concrete pouring, including site layout and equipment setup.
- Finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Apply caulking, plaster, or other materials as needed to ensure a smooth surface.
- Collaborate with carpenters and masons to ensure proper installation of forms and reinforcements.
- Operate concrete pumping equipment as necessary for large pours.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Inspect finished work for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.
- Assist in the training of junior staff or apprentices when required.
Skills
- Proficient in concrete finishing techniques with experience in drywall installation, metal stud framing, and masonry work.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in construction.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
