Accounting Manager (M&A & Vendor Integration)

12‑month contract (extension possible)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support a high‑impact finance initiative within a global pharmaceutical organization. This role is heavily focused on M&A integration and new vendor onboarding, operating within a dual‑ERP environment. You will play a hands‑on role in ensuring accurate payments, strong vendor compliance, and seamless accounting operations across SAP S/4HANA and NetSuite, while leading month‑end and year‑end close activities.
This is a delivery‑oriented role requiring strong judgment, cross‑functional coordination, and the ability to manage accounting processes during periods of growth and integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support post‑merger accounting integration, aligning newly onboarded entities with existing accounting policies, controls, and reporting standards
- Manage vendor and supplier onboarding, ensuring accurate setup, compliance validation, and timely, error‑free payments
- Operate across a dual ERP environment:
- SAP S/4HANA for core entities
- NetSuite for newly onboarded suppliers or acquired entities
- Own month‑end and year‑end close, ensuring accuracy, proper accruals, and cut‑off across multiple systems
- Strengthen internal controls related to vendor master data, payments, and compliance tracking
- Partner with Finance, AP, Procurement, and Compliance teams to resolve issues and improve processes
- Prepare documentation and support internal/external audits as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (CPA preferred)
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including managerial responsibilities
- Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or NetSuite in complex environments
- Demonstrated experience supporting M&A integrations and supplier onboarding
- Strong knowledge of month‑end/year‑end close, internal controls, and audit readiness
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Preferred Experience
- Pharmaceutical, biotech, or highly regulated industry experience
- Experience working in multi‑entity, multi‑system accounting environments
