Position Description: The WC Generalist is responsible for performing duties on a professional level focusing on workers compensation functions. The position is responsible for completing WC related duties and working closely with the WC team. They will act as the communication between our clients and carriers, reviewing claim-related documents within the pre-determined time limits. Provide support to employees within the WC Department.
Receive, review, and report First Report of Injury (FROI), and enter the applicable system (within 24 hours).
Communicate with employees, clients, treating facilities and applicable WC carriers regarding employees incident details, work status, medical status and indemnity eligibility.
Review and process invoices received regarding claim, ensuring all are processed accordingly with the applicable WC carrier.
Communicate with medical billing providers regarding outstanding costs, pending costs, WC claim and billing information.
Maintain OSHA logs in to payroll software and provides reports to clients when applicable.
Process WC Certificates of Insurance. Communicate with clients and WC carrier regarding additional endorsements, job specific information.
Participate in quarterly claims reviews with all applicable carriers.
Perform any additional functions needed to meet the goals of the department (i.e. filing, scanning, copying and mail management and distribution of pertinent WC documents.
Review and manage Salesforce Cases daily, ensuring cases are reviewed and responded to timely (within 24 hours of receipt).
Assist with employee relations and/or conflict resolution in response to client inquiries.
Associates and/or Bachelor's degree in HR, Communication, Business or related fields preferred
1-3 years of HR/Workers Comp/Customer Service Experience
Experience in PEO (Professional Employer Organization) preferred
PRISM software experience preferred (but not required)
Fluent in English and Spanish preferred (bilingual not required)

Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulation and requirements.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
