Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose: Join Mercy Care Atlanta as an Administrative Intern and gain hands-on experience in healthcare administration within a mission-driven environment serving underserved communities. What You Will Do: As an intern, you will support the day-to-day administrative operations of our clinic, working closely with staff and patients. Key responsibilities include: Conducting proactive outreach to patients for preventive care and appointment scheduling. Reviewing and managing medical records using Epic EHR and insurance portals. Delivering outstanding front desk service during patient check-in and check-out. Accurately entering and updating patient information, verifying insurance, and processing payments. Assisting with registration forms and obtaining required documentation. Facilitating communication between patients, providers, and staff. Supporting clinic flow and maintaining a welcoming environment. Contributing to special projects such as quality improvement and patient satisfaction surveys.
