Role and responsibilities:
- We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Vertex Consultant with a deep understanding of SAP Finance to join our dynamic team.
- The ideal candidate will possess 10 years of experience implementing and supporting Vertex solutions within complex SAP environments.
- This role will be crucial in providing expert guidance, implementing best practices, and ensuring seamless integration between Vertex and SAP Finance modules.
- You will be responsible for leading projects, mentoring junior team members, and delivering exceptional solutions to our clients.
Required Technologies and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience implementing and supporting Vertex solutions within SAP Finance environments.
- Deep functional and technical knowledge of Vertex O Series and Vertex Indirect Tax Returns.
- Strong understanding of SAP Finance modules (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, SD) and their integration with Vertex.
- Proven experience in designing and configuring tax determination rules and logic within Vertex.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- SAP certification in Finance or related modules is highly desirable.
- Experience in S/4HANA is a plus.
- Experience with tax automation tools is a plus.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Vertex Cloud solutions.
- Knowledge of tax compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience with data migration and integration tools.
- Ability to develop and deliver training materials.
- Consulting experience with a focus on client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of Vertex implementations and upgrades within SAP Finance environments.
- Design, configure, and implement Vertex solutions to meet complex tax determination and reporting requirements.
- Provide expert-level functional and technical guidance on Vertex O Series, Vertex Indirect Tax Returns, and related modules.
- Integrate Vertex with SAP Finance modules (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, SD) and other relevant SAP modules.
- Develop and maintain detailed functional and technical specifications, test plans, and training documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Vertex and SAP integration.
- Perform system testing, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP Finance, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Vertex and SAP technologies and best practices.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior consultants.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for clients and internal teams.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations and proposal development.
