We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure & Security Engineer to support enterprise 24x7x365 managed infrastructure operations across networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, cloud, and data center environments. This role will function as a combined L2/L3 escalation engineer responsible for advanced troubleshooting, operational support, incident resolution, infrastructure management, and technical leadership across multiple technology domains.
The engineer will support network, security, systems, cloud, and operational infrastructure while participating in major incident response, root cause analysis, automation initiatives, and continuous service improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 operational support for enterprise infrastructure, networking, and security environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, network, cloud, and security incidents
- Support routing, switching, firewall, VPN, WAN, SD-WAN, and network security operations
- Manage virtualization, server, storage, backup, and disaster recovery environments
- Support hybrid cloud infrastructure and connectivity across on-prem and cloud platforms
- Perform firewall administration, security policy updates, and vulnerability remediation support
- Support SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and operational security monitoring activities
- Participate in major incident management, bridge calls, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Execute infrastructure patching, upgrades, lifecycle management, and maintenance activities
- Support infrastructure monitoring, observability, alert tuning, and operational reporting
- Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and operational documentation
- Coordinate with vendors, carriers, cloud providers, and internal support teams
- Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours escalation support as required
- Support automation and scripting initiatives for operational efficiency
Required Skills
- Strong experience in enterprise infrastructure and network operations
- Hands-on experience with routing, switching, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and network troubleshooting
- Experience with enterprise firewalls and security technologies
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Knowledge of cloud platforms including Azure and/or AWS
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure monitoring tools
- Understanding of SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and vulnerability management
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and incident management skills
- Ability to support 24x7 operational environments and on-call escalations
