Role Summary
As an Inside Sales Representative at Trinity, you'll be the bridge between prospects and customers — helping them solve problems, guiding them through product and service options, and driving revenue growth. You'll partner closely with our field sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Your mission: grow sales, deepen customer relationships, and deliver industrial solutions clients can rely on.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls, respond to inbound inquiries, and prospect via email to generate new industrial sales leads
- Qualify leads, assess customer needs, present product & service solutions (hose assemblies, gaskets, machining, etc.)
- Prepare and deliver quotes/proposals in a timely, accurate manner
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and sales agreements while maintaining margin targets
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and field sales to ensure smooth order fulfillment
- Follow up to ensure on-time delivery, resolve issues, and cultivate repeat business
- Maintain and update records (contacts, pipeline, forecast)
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Keep current on product lines, industry trends, and competitor offerings
- Participate in trade shows, webinars, or client visits as needed
Qualifications & Skills
Must-haves:
- 2 years inside sales or technical sales experience (ideally in industrial, MRO, manufacturing, or related field)
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to learn technical product specs and apply them to customer needs
- Strong negotiating skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, able to manage multiple priorities
Nice to have / Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- Experience selling hose assemblies, gasket materials, machined parts, or industrial supplies
- Understanding of hydraulic systems, rubber compounds, or machining processes
- Experience with quoting software / ERP systems / Excel
