Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and caring After-School Program Staff to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade, helping create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students can learn, play, and develop new skills.
You will assist with educational and recreational activities, supervise students, support program routines, and contribute to the overall success of our after-school program.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–5:00 PM
Hours may vary based on program needs.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with students in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.
- Assist with planning and implementing recreational and enrichment activities.
- Provide attentive supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, and social development.
- Assist with homework, classroom activities, and other educational tasks as needed.
- Support positive classroom management and maintain a welcoming, respectful environment.
- Assist with childcare and age-appropriate educational activities.
- Respond appropriately to minor injuries or emergencies and utilize first aid skills when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Follow all program policies, safety procedures, and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Previous experience working with children, including childcare, babysitting, education, or youth programs, is preferred.
- Experience working with Kindergarten through Sixth Grade students is a plus.
- Experience in early childhood education or an educational setting is a plus.
- First Aid/CPR certification is preferred or a willingness to obtain certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage, encourage, and build positive relationships with children.
- Dependable, patient, responsible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must successfully pass a required background check.
