Days- Monday through Friday when school is in session
Hours- 9:00-2:30am (˂30hrs/week)
Starting Wage: $11.00/hr
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic 1st and 2nd Grade Classroom Aide to support our education program. The Teacher Aide will work closely with the lead teacher to assist in classroom instruction, supervision, and day-to-day activities, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and lessons.
- Assist with classroom management and supervision of children at all times.
- Help prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
- Support children’s emotional, physical, and social development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Supervise and assist students during snack, lunch, recess, rest time, and field trips.
- Provide individualized attention to students who may need additional support.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Model appropriate behavior and communication at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Prior experience working with young children in an educational setting is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of child development and classroom procedures.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing attitude.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to stand for long periods and engage with children at their level.
- May require occasional evening or weekend hours for school events or meetings.
