Are you a tech-savvy audio/video enthusiast looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a part-time Tech Lead to bring our weekly worship services and events to life. In this role, you will run our audio-visual systems, manage live streams, create engaging visual media, and build a dedicated team of volunteers. This position offers excellent scheduling flexibility for your media production work.
Position Details
- Hours: Part-time (Up to 16 hours per week).
- Schedule: Sunday mornings, midweek evening rehearsals (usually Thursdays) and flexible scheduling for media production work.
What You Will Do
- Audio Engineering: Set up, test, and operate mixing boards, microphones, and sound equipment for live and streamed services.
- Media Production: Build weekly worship presentations (PowerPoint/Proclaim) and run live streams on YouTube and Facebook.
- Volunteer Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of AV volunteers to support Sunday services.
- Equipment Care: Maintain our gear, troubleshoot technical issues, and recommend system upgrades.
- Event Support: Coordinate audio/video needs for special events, including weddings and funerals.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2 years of experience in live sound, video production, or a related AV field.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint) and standard AV mixing boards. Experience with OBS Studio, Proclaim, or ProPresenter is a major plus!
- Qualities: A problem-solver with excellent communication skills who loves collaborating with a team.
- Bonus Points: Experience with video editing or basic staff IT support (Microsoft 365).
