What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afternoon Preschool Teacher or Aide Position position at Trinity Lutheran Church and Preschool?
We are hiring for one position:
- afternoon preschool aide/teacher working the hours of 12:30-6:00pm (but could start later) must be able to stay until 6:00pm though as this is a closing position
We are looking for people who share our Christian Values, enjoy working with children ages 2 to 5 years, enjoy being physically active while working outside, and are willing to learn and support our culture of Godly Citizenship and Loving Christians.
Our teachers and aides must be comfortable changing diapers and helping children in the bathroom and willing to take direction from the teacher in the classroom and director. The usual classroom size is 11-16 children.

Reports to: Preschool Director
Works with: Classroom lead teacher and staff
Works: Part-time, approximately 20-29 hours per week with room to grow,
- Applicants MUST have a minimum of 6 ECE units. 12 ECE units is preferred.
- The applicant process includes a medical clearance, TB Test, proof of MMR and Tdap vaccinations, and a LiveScan fingerprinting background check.
- Part-time positions will be 20 hours to start with room to grow

- Focus on becoming acquainted with each parent and giving special attention to each child.
- Willing to lead class prayers at snack and lunch times.
Teachers should have reliable transportation to work.
Give full attention to the safety, physical and emotional well-being of the children.
- Assure children’s bathroom and diaper needs are met.
- Must be willing to change diapers and help children in the bathroom.
- Daily classroom set up.
- Supervise playground activity
