Position Purpose
At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Nursing Supervisor (House) serves as the on-site leadership presence during nights, weekends, and holidays. This role ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across all units by coordinating nursing operations, supporting staff, and resolving clinical and administrative issues. The supervisor acts as a resource for nursing teams and collaborates with other departments to maintain continuity of care and operational efficiency.
What You Will Do
Provide on-site nursing leadership during nights, weekends, and holidays.
Support and guide nursing staff across departments.
Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.
Resolve clinical and operational issues in real time.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
Required:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Valid RN license in Connecticut.
The ideal candidate will have three or more years in inpatient Intensive Care or ICU-level Nursing experience. Special consideration and preference for those with two or more years of leadership roles, such as Critical Care, Charge Nurse, or Assistant Nurse Manager.
Preferred:
BLS or CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Position Highlights and Benefits
Full Time: 36 hours per week – Night Shift
12-hour shifts. Shifts will support Nights and Weekend hours
Salaried position, eligible for shift differentials.
Compensation Range: $83.304 min - $133,328 max.
