Minimum qualifications:
- Associates degree, Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in business intelligence analyses pertaining to at least one of the following – clinical, financial, operations, biostatistics, epidemiology, clinical research or industrial engineering in healthcare.
- Proficient in SQL programming.
- Proficient in Visual Management tools.
- Understanding of healthcare data – inpatient, outpatient or managed care.
- Proficient in the use of SQL to create datasets for analysis from multiple, primary sources, conducts analyses and creates reports; Programming skills should be sufficient for modular programming to support recurring production-level datasets; Analytical skills should be sufficiently developed for forecasting, predictive modeling and longitudinal cohort analyses.
- Write SQL queries for data manipulation, sorting, summarizing and reporting.
- Reviews, analyzes and modifies programming systems including coding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.
- Uses standard SQL stored procedures to comply with department standards.
- Checks for validity and reproducibility of quality/safety measures when indicated from multiple data sources.
- Ensures completeness and accuracy of reports.
- Uses additional reporting tools such as Business Objects, Tableau, iDashboards, PowerBI, SSRS, Excel, etc. as needed.
