Required Qualifications:
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing School.
- BSN preferred.
- Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- BLS
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 12 months from date of hire or transfer.
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification (EFM-c) is required within the first 12 months from date of hire or transfer.

- Under limited supervision, the Registered Nurse handles assessing patients, including developing, evaluating, and changing the care plan. The RN interprets and performs complex patient care procedures specific to their ability.
- RNs are members of the Care Team and Support Team and have accountability to function as a team to conduct patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
- The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated period.
- The RN supplies care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.
