Essential Functions
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection following established policies and procedures
- Verify physician orders and ensure accurate specimen labeling and documentation
- Collect, process, and transport specimens to appropriate laboratory departments
- Assist Medical Technologists with routine clinical laboratory duties
- Perform clerical responsibilities including order verification, registration, and documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, nursing staff, physicians, and laboratory team members
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Provide respectful, compassionate care to patients of all ages
