Position Summary
A medical clinic in Tulsa is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Medical Records Scanner to assist with scanning, indexing, and importing patient documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) system. This is a three-month temporary assignment ideal for someone who is organized, reliable, and comfortable handling confidential medical information.
Key Responsibilities
- Scan paper medical records and documents into the electronic medical record system
- Accurately index and upload documents to the correct patient charts
- Ensure documents are clear, complete, and properly labeled
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times
- Organize and prepare documents for scanning, including sorting and batching
- Assist with general medical records support tasks as needed
Qualifications
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills and comfort working with electronic systems
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Previous experience in a medical office or records department preferred, but not required
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
