Regional Sales Manager
Midland, Tx area
Direct Hire
$120k - $140k Commission
This position is responsible for coordinating sales activity in the region with independent area sales managers, representatives & distributors, developing project specific sales strategies and communicating project requirements to the company’s manufacturing operations, construction divisions and management team.
Responsibilities:
• Lead FGS sales on Spoolable and Jointed Fiberglass Pipe as well as Fiberglass Tanks.
• Target new customers, new applications and follow on sales leads.
• Initiate regional sales calls and training seminars with area distributors and representatives
• Instruct distributors, contractors and customers concerning product applications
• Communicate & coordinate with management, peers and Regional Sales Director with regard to cross-region project sales activity requirements
• Visit customer facilities and/or construction jobsites to monitor project progress and customer satisfaction.
• 5-10 years of relevant technical sales experience calling on customers
• Experience managing independent representatives and distributors.
• Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or Material Science or Industrial Technology or Business Administration or any equivalent University technical degree) is preferred.
• Preferred: 4-6 years experience on Piping Industry. Fiberglass Piping, Fiberglass Spoolable Pipe.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Work may require evening and weekend work
• Previous customer-facing experience
• Candidate must be able to work independently in a home-based office.
• Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills to include the ability to provide group presentations in a seminar environment.
• Significant domestic travel is required.
• Valid US driver’s license and safe driving history
• Overnight Travel required 25%
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-10 years of relevant technical sales experience calling on customers
- Experience managing independent representatives and distributors.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or Material Science or Industrial Technology or Business Administration or any equivalent University technical degree) is preferred.
- Preferred: 4-6 years experience on Piping Industry. Fiberglass Piping, Fiberglass Spoolable Pipe.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Technical knowledge and / or experience with FRP composites and or Thermoplastic lined FRP composites used in Oil & Gas preferred.
