Job Title: Kitting Specialist

Location: Tulsa, OK

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm

 Pay: $18/hr

Position Summary:

 The Kitting Specialist is responsible for pulling, organizing, and staging materials for delivery, ensuring parts are prepared for installation on school buses. The role involves handling a wide range of automotive components—from small parts like engine hoses to larger items such as transmissions, batteries, hoods, and windows. You will ensure that the correct parts are accurately pulled and staged for timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pull, organize, and stage automotive parts according to daily orders and production schedules.
• Verify accuracy of parts pulled, ensuring they meet customer specifications.
• Prepare parts for delivery by carefully staging them on pallets and ensuring they are secured and ready for transport.
• Operate overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to move and manage materials efficiently.
• Ensure all parts are properly labeled and ready for assembly and installation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are easily accessible.
• Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures for equipment and material handling.
• Use good math skills to accurately count and verify parts without the need for a calculator.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met and production flows smoothly.
• Report any discrepancies or issues with parts to supervisors promptly.
• Assist with other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a kitting, warehouse, or assembly environment preferred.
• Strong math skills, with the ability to calculate part quantities and measurements without a calculator.
• Familiarity with overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and RF scanners (training provided if needed).
• Attention to detail and the ability to organize materials effectively.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.
