Job Summary:
The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the hospital kitchen, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant food preparation and service. This role supports patient care by supervising staff, maintaining standards, and coordinating meal production for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support kitchen staff to ensure timely, high-quality meal preparation and service.
Ensure compliance with dietary guidelines, food safety standards, and sanitation regulations.
Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost control in coordination with the food service manager.
Assist in training staff and monitoring performance to maintain operational standards.
Respond to dietary needs and meal concerns from patients and healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate records for temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and food safety documentation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; food service certification preferred.
3 years of food service experience, including supervisory responsibilities, ideally in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge of clinical nutrition, sanitation, and food safety standards.
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

* Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
