Trinity Classical Academy – Downtown Summerville
Trinity Classical Academy is seeking dedicated Christian educators to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for teachers who are passionate about academic excellence, discipleship, and cultivating a Christ-centered learning environment for students in Grades 5th-8th.
Our faculty members play a vital role in shaping students academically, spiritually, and morally. Candidates should possess strong subject knowledge, effective teaching practices, and a desire to mentor students within a classical Christian framework.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking teachers qualified to teach math or history to students in Grades 5-8. Ideal candidates will demonstrate excellence in instruction, classroom leadership, and a commitment to Christian education.
Teachers are expected to create and deliver engaging lessons, foster critical thinking, and support students individually to ensure academic success. In addition to subject instruction, teachers contribute to the spiritual culture of the school by modeling Christian character and biblical values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Prior classroom teaching experience required. Preschool or daycare experience does not meet this requirement.
- Strong content knowledge appropriate for middle-grade instruction
- Commitment to Christian education and the integration of biblical principles into teaching
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated professionalism and Christian character.
- Ability to skillfully incorporate technology and creativity into lessons
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with course objectives
- Design classes that emphasize foundational knowledge and authentic real-world application
- Provide individualized instruction and academic support when needed
- Utilize best instructional practices, including:
- Inquiry-based learning
- Differentiated instruction
- Student-centered facilitation
- Maintain effective classroom management procedures
- Communicate professionally and consistently with parents, students, administrators, and colleagues
- Incorporate technology and hands-on learning opportunities as appropriate
- Foster student growth academically, socially, and spiritually.
Christian Culture & Faculty Expectations
Teachers at Trinity Classical Academy are expected to actively support and model Christian values throughout the school day. Responsibilities include:
- Promoting a Christ-centered classroom culture
- Demonstrating biblical character in interactions with students and colleagues
- Encouraging spiritual growth and moral development in students
- Exhibiting a growth mindset and willingness to receive feedback
- Collaborating as a supportive member of a cohesive Christian faculty
- Participating in select school events that may occur outside regular hours
Schedule & Work Hours
- School Year: August through end of May
- Faculty Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
