Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Teacher role located in Charleston, SC, within the Charleston County School District. The Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, supporting their academic growth. Additional responsibilities include assessing and monitoring student progress, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and collaborating with colleagues and families to enhance student outcomes. Teachers will also adhere to state curriculum standards and contribute to the overall development of the school community.
Qualifications
- Strong subject area knowledge and the ability to develop effective and engaging lesson plans
- Proficiency in classroom management and creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues
- Adaptability, creativity, and a passion for inspiring students to learn and succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (required); teaching certification in South Carolina or ability to obtain certification
- Experience with differentiated instruction, technology integration in the classroom, or specialized programs such as STEM or arts education is a plus
