Position Summary

The Parent & Child Early Enrichment Program Supervisor is responsible for the overall development, coordination, and evaluation of program activities. This role involves supervising staff, overseeing service delivery, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. The supervisor will collaborate with agency partners, provide direct support to children and families, and maintain program quality through ongoing training and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Oversight & Coordination

  • Oversee, coordinate, and assess all program activities.
  • Manage and supervise all program staff.
  • Supervise student interns as needed.
  • Provide ongoing staff development and training.
  • Collaborate with agency partners and community service providers to enhance program effectiveness for families.
  • Promote the program to recruit eligible children and families.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports in compliance with requirements.
  • Attend OPWDD Family Support and other relevant meetings as scheduled.
  • Submit all required statistical data and forms as mandated by the funding source.
  • Administer and analyze participant satisfaction surveys.
  • Supervise staff and oversee the implementation of the Race to 10,000 Program.
  • Contribute as a member of the Community Network Services Team.

Case Management & Family Support

  • Maintain a caseload of five to ten children and families, developing individualized short- and long-term goals.
  • Administer developmental screenings and ensure timely documentation.
  • Establish weekly objectives, selecting appropriate methods and materials for implementation.
  • Keep detailed case records documenting interactions between staff, parents, and children, ensuring objectives are met.
  • Provide ongoing case management, advocacy, and support services for families.
  • Attend client case conferences, advocating for families to obtain and maintain necessary services.
  • Serve as a mandated Child Abuse and Neglect Reporter.
  • Assume other job-related duties as assigned by the CNS Division Leader, COO and/or agency CEO

Prevention

  • Provide monthly quality assurance supervision
  • Ensure staff are meeting families bi-weekly
  • Ensure staff participate in case reviews
  • Ensure meeting Albany County contractual requirements
  • Ensure all Prevention families receive ages and stages screening
  • Ensure discharge summaries are provided to the prevention team

Qualifications & Required Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

  • AA or BA degree in Social Work, Human Services, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with children and families in a human services, prevention, or early childhood setting.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of child development, early childhood education, and developmental milestones from birth through age five.
  • Knowledge of family-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based service delivery practices.
  • Knowledge of developmental screening tools, including Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ).
  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and evaluate staff performance while fostering a positive team culture.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with OPWDD Family Support Services, prevention services, or family-centered programming preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
