Job Summary:
The Senior Director, Credit Portfolio Management is a pivotal role responsible for the ongoing maintenance and servicing of a Trimont client portfolio. This role involves monthly and quarterly monitoring to ensure optimal portfolio performance and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and report on the financial performance of commercial real estate properties within the portfolio to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Conduct or oversee physical condition inspections and compliance audits to maintain asset integrity and regulatory adherence.
- Identify and assess potential risks to the balance sheet and investor interests, providing comprehensive analysis and reporting.
- Evaluate and process reserve requests or equity capital contributions in line with portfolio objectives.
- Develop strategic solutions and recommendations for borrower, developer, or general partner consent requests, ensuring alignment with Trimont’s goals.
- Liaise effectively with borrowers, developers, general partners, investors, and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
- Interpret complex loan and investment documents to extract insights that inform decision-making and portfolio strategy.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of real estate transactions, including loan and investment structures, ownership entities, property management, and market conditions.
- Mentor and guide assigned Credit Analysts, fostering their professional development and ensuring high performance standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
- Proven track record in managing complex commercial real estate loan portfolios, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough financial modeling and risk assessment.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills and familiarity with real estate management software.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in commercial real estate finance.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
