What Makes This Role Great
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of developing high-traffic SaaS and PaaS systems, directly influencing the reliability of our FedRAMP portfolio and shaping the future of digital construction technology. You won't just maintain systems; you will serve as a key advisor to architecture teams, ensuring our global platforms are designed for massive scalability and maximum uptime from the ground up.
Key Exciting Responsibilities
  • Architect Resilience: Collaborate with software development and architecture teams to provide critical input on design decisions, ensuring every system is built for elite reliability and scalability.
  • Automate Everything: Eliminate manual, repetitive tasks by developing sophisticated automation tools and frameworks for deployment, monitoring, and error budget tracking.
  • Optimize Performance: Establish and measure Service Level Objectives (SLOs) while conducting advanced redundancy and failover testing to meet world-class uptime standards.
  • Innovate Security: Manage security posture and adherence to corporate best practices within AWS GovCloud, incorporating Trimble Cloud Core Platform standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Cloud Proficiency: You have hands-on experience managing infrastructure within AWS or Azure public cloud environments.
  • Technical Foundation: You hold a degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) with a solid understanding of networking, computing, and storage.
  • Scripting Savvy: You are comfortable with Windows and Linux system administration and possess scripting skills in Python, Powershell, Bash, or Perl.
  • Operational Mindset: You are familiar with application operations, including Incident Management, Change Management, and Capacity Management.
Bonus Points For
  • Experience with configuration management and IaC tools like Ansible or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration using ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring stacks like Sumo Logic, Grafana, or PRTG.
  • Knowledge of SAML integration and Active Directory/LDAP services.
Citizenship and Location Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen physically located and authorized to work within the United States. This role supports U.S. Government and DoD environments and may require work to be performed on U.S. soil in accordance with FedRAMP High and DoD Impact Level 5 requirements.

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
