We're recruiting on behalf of a leading space technology company for a DevSecOps SRE to own mission-critical infrastructure supporting government space operations. This is real satellite systems, real missions, real impact.
The Mission
Build and operate highly reliable cloud systems in AWS GovCloud and C2E environments.
You'll be responsible for deployment automation, operational stability, and system resilience across classified networks. Your work ensures 24/7 uptime for systems that literally keep satellites communicating.
What You'll Do
• Design and deploy automated pipelines for secure, repeatable deployments in regulated
environments
• Ensure platform reliability and operability with minimal manual intervention
• Build fault-tolerant, observable systems that meet strict SLOs
• Support air-gapped network deployments with consistency across all environments
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and incident response
• Eliminate toil through automation and continuously improve system reliability
• Collaborate with frontend, backend, and platform engineers on performance and reliability requirements
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3 years as an SRE, DevOps, reliability, infrastructure, or platform engineer
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads in production
• Hands-on experience with AWS EKS, Rancher, or similar platforms
• Deep experience with CI/CD systems and deployment automation (GitLab preferred)
• Proficiency in Python and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform or similar)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, databases, and event-driven architectures
• Solid networking fundamentals (VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, TLS)
• Experience with observability platforms (Grafana LGTM, Datadog, or equivalent)
• Active U.S. Security Clearance (Secret minimum; TS/SCI preferred)
Preferred
• Experience supporting GovCloud, IL-enclave, or C2E environments
• Experience working toward ATO/authorization in federal, DoD, or IC environments
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and enclave boundaries
• Experience with identity and access management (AWS IAM, Auth0, Keycloak, ICAM patterns)
• Strong Git fundamentals and experience supporting deployments across multiple classification levels
Salary $160-200k equity
