About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Sales Development I4 / Associate Growth Merchant Lead to help expand DoorDash's merchant network. In this role, you will identify, engage, and onboard local small and medium-sized businesses, with a strong focus on restaurants and food & beverage establishments.
This position is ideal for candidates with a proven track record in outbound sales, business development, or merchant acquisition who thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and identify new merchant opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls, emails, and outreach activities.
- Build relationships with small and medium-sized business owners.
- Educate prospective merchants on the value of partnering with DoorDash.
- Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting through signed agreements.
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales goals and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful merchant onboarding.
- Maintain accurate records and activity tracking within CRM systems.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of successful sales, business development, or account acquisition experience.
- Experience selling to SMBs, preferably within restaurants, hospitality, food service, or related industries.
- Strong prospecting and cold-calling skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and sales technologies.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Compensation
- Fixed pay rate: $29/hour
- Commission structure details will be discussed during the interview process.
