What You Will Be Doing
- Guide students during their 2-Hour Learning block, aiding them in goal-setting, task management, and effective tech tool usage.
- Support reading habits by reinforcing skills introduced by Reading Specialists.
- Coach emotional regulation, resilience, and peer collaboration with warmth and consistency.
- Monitor student progress, identify challenges early, and adapt strategies collaboratively with your team.
- Create a classroom atmosphere that is structured, playful, and personalized—akin to a high-expectation summer camp.
- Conducting whole-class lessons from a whiteboard all day.
- Taking charge of literacy instruction or curriculum design.
- Grading piles of papers or drafting extensive lesson plans.
- Working in a joyless or tech-deficient classroom environment.
- Managing behavior without recognizing the individual behind it.

Basic Requirements
- Availability for full-time, in-person work at one of our campuses in Washington D.C., Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC, Orange County, CA, or San Francisco, CA.
- A college degree in any discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years experience with children aged 4–8 in education, afterschool programs, coaching, or similar settings.
- Proven ability to motivate and manage young children with a blend of structure and joy.
- Possess a growth mindset and willingness to be coached.
- Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Training or certifications in early childhood educational models such as CDA, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia.
- Experience in supporting reading instruction or collaborating with literacy specialists.
- Knowledge of adaptive learning software or personalized education tools.
