What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Instructor, Unbound Academy - $60,000/year USD position at Trilogy?
ARIZONA SPED TEACHERS: Reinvent Special Education, Not Just Manage It.
What if your Special Education expertise could do more than support compliance—and actually help reinvent school?
At Unbound Academy, we've rebuilt school from the ground up. We're the first virtual, tuition-free charter school where students master academics in just two hours a day using adaptive AI—freeing their afternoons for immersive, real-life learning. Our Guides don't deliver lectures. They coach, inspire, and lead hands-on workshops that teach storytelling, entrepreneurship, design, wellness, and more. Now we need a Special Education professional who can do both: coach students toward life readiness and lead our IEP program with precision.
This role is for the SPED teacher who's done it all. You've led your own classroom—but you've also been the person writing, updating, and coordinating IEPs behind the scenes. You know what it takes to keep us in compliance and still keep kids at the center. You're based in Arizona and fully certified. Most of all, you're energized by the idea of doing meaningful work—not busywork—in a school that actually prepares kids for real life.
What You Will Be Doing
Lead the development, execution, and compliance of all IEPs while engaging students in transformative, life-skill-building virtual experiences.
Basic Requirements
Unbound Academy is Arizona’s first virtual, tuition-free charter school, designed to make grades 4-8 limitless, personal, and exciting. This isn’t just an alternative to the traditional school system. It’s a revolutionary way for your family to reclaim time, unlock potential, and reimagine what education can be.
At Unbound Academy, students can master their core academics in just two hours a day. Our teachers use an AI-powered learning model to adjust to each child’s pace and interests, ensuring progress happens twice as fast as in a typical classroom.
By cutting out the fluff and streamlining coursework, we not only make a significant academic impact—we make learning fun, personal, and incredibly effective.
