What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating dynamic, responsive reading sessions focused on phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, and oral fluency development
- Creating individualized engagement strategies that leverage game-based learning elements to celebrate literacy achievements
- Interpreting student performance metrics to continuously optimize teaching methods and generate meaningful educational insights
- Partnering with our engineering team to test and improve AI-powered literacy platforms using real classroom feedback
- Creating adaptable educational materials that customize learning experiences for students with varying abilities and backgrounds
- Adhering to inflexible, one-size-fits-all curricula that disregard individual student progress or evidence-based adjustments
- Dedicating excessive time to conventional lesson preparation, paper grading, or bureaucratic tasks
- Teaching in overpacked classrooms with insufficient educational materials
- Focusing primarily on classroom management rather than literacy skill development
- Operating in educational silos without opportunities to influence curriculum design or educational innovation
Create and implement a transformative, technology-enhanced reading curriculum that empowers young elementary learners to reach reading benchmarks while fostering genuine enthusiasm for literature and lifelong learning habits.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree complemented by specialized reading instruction credentials (such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, or comparable programs)
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience providing targeted reading support to elementary-age students in small group settings
- Demonstrated expertise in reading assessment techniques, strategic student grouping, and creating customized instruction without relying on pre-packaged materials
- Experience with artificial intelligence and adaptive educational technology, with ability to respond effectively to student interactions within these platforms
- Valid work authorization for the United States without need for employer sponsorship
- Commitment to on-site work at one of our locations: Lake Forest (Orange County), CA; San Francisco, CA; Miami, FL; or New York City, NY

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
