Position:
We are seeking an exceptional Field Application Scientist (FAS) to be part of the commercial team. The Field Application Scientist provides scientific guidance, and in-field technical support and customer service. The successful candidate must be willing to roll up sleeves to help customers set up experiments. In addition, the FAS will partner with customers and internal resources to identify customer needs, and recommend and implement solutions. As an integral part of the commercial team, the FAS represents the company at scientific and commercial events, networks and makes connections and prospects, and increases adoption of catalog products and service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide technical and sales support to research labs working in academia and industry. Conduct product demonstrations at customer sites and remotely.
· Research literature, work with the customer and internal team to identify products and service projects to address needs in the market.
· Provide support to research labs working in academia and industry. Provide scientific consultation and project guidance to customers. Conduct gap analysis, troubleshoot issues, and deliver trainings on Trilogie’s products and assays.
· Advise and assist customers with experimental design, assay design, and reporting of results. Work closely with customers to ensure successful implementation and utilization of our solutions.
· Work with the customer and internal team to specify custom products and service projects.
· Perform bench work as needed during trainings and demos of Trilogies technology.
· Develop application notes by collaborating with internal and external partners.
· Organize and lead local trade show / tabletop show activities, networking within the scientific and biopharma communities to promote company’s brand awareness.
· Contribute to marketing activities with content generation, seminars and webinars.
· Prepare abstracts and present presentations and posters at scientific meetings. .
· Participate in national and regional trade show activities
· Provide technical expertise and support to customers to facilitate the successful use of assay kits.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings and scientific developments relevant to customer applications.
· Collect and document customer needs and feedback from the field to improve Trilogies product and service offerings.
· All other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- PhD in a scientific field (Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry) or related discipline,
- 1-3 years of post-doctoral or industry experience preferred.
· Research experience in fields related to protein chemistry, expression, purification
- Expertise in design and implementation of in vitro enzymatic and proximity assays
- Demonstrated ability in organizing events, such as symposiums, chapter events for scientific societies, networking events, student activities, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and train scientists on new methods, protocols, and reagents.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, research, and communication skills.
- A resourceful problem solver with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and meet deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Interest in building a deep understanding of a wide variety of scientific advancements, and the ability to translate that knowledge into relevant and valuable content.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record in collaboration within a highly cross-functional team environment as a strong team player.
Note: This is a Boston- area based positions with significant travel requirements. The candidate must be based in the greater Boston area.
