Position Summary
Trillium Health is a rapidly growing group of inpatient psychiatric hospitals. We are currently in search of a Payroll, Benefits & Recruiting Manager who is responsible for overseeing and managing all payroll operations, employee benefits administration, and full-cycle recruitment activities for each facility. This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, maintains accurate payroll processing, administers competitive benefits programs, and supports talent acquisition strategies that align with organizational goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Oversee accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees (hourly, salaried, contingent).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
- Manage payroll tax filings, deductions, garnishments, unemployment claims, and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s).
- Reconcile payroll accounts and maintain payroll records.
- Serve as primary contact for payroll-related inquiries.
- Coordinate with Finance for reporting, audits, and budgeting.
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and other voluntary benefits.
- Manage open enrollment processes and employee education.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and other applicable regulations.
- Manage leave of absence tracking and benefit eligibility.
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment process (posting, sourcing, interviewing/set-up, selection, onboarding including the set-up of background and drug screenings).
- Partner with department leaders to identify staffing needs.
Compliance & HR Support
- Maintain personnel records and HRIS systems.
- Support policy development and employee handbook updates.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- 3–7 years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, and recruiting.
- Experience with payroll using ADP Workforce Now is highly desirable.
