POSITION SUMMARY:
The Security Guard supports the mission of the Hospital by providing a safe environment for patients, visitors, volunteers, and employees. The position is also responsible for enforcing policy, providing assistance and directions, responding to emergencies, and protecting personnel, visitors, and property.
*We are currently looking for a Security Guard to fulfil a full-time night shift role, working three 12-hour shifts per week including rotating weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years’ security experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing; additional languages preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of investigation procedures, de-escalating violence, hospital security, and protection mechanisms preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct regular and frequent rounding of the interior and exterior of the facility
- Assist in de-escalating situations using proper CPI techniques
- Monitor camera surveillance system and respond to alerts
- Assist staff on unit as needed
- Provide oversite to ensure calm milieu
- Maintain vigilant observation of the premises acting as the facilities primary point of awareness for safety and security concerns
- Control access to the facility by verifying ID and managing entry points
- Collaborate with staff and emergency services when required
- Maintain professionalism and visible presence
