Major Functions And Scope
- Perform basic diagnostics on powersports equipment, including Kawasaki ATVs, personal watercraft, and related outdoor power equipment, to determine necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Complete basic repairs and service work on powersports and recreational equipment as directed by the Service Manager or Shop Foreman.
- Accurately document all work performed by preparing required reports, service documentation, and repair orders in conjunction with work orders.
- Participate in all job-related training, certifications, and development programs to maintain and enhance technical skills.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge of Kawasaki powersports products and other brands sold or serviced by Trailblazer Powersports.
- Ensure safe and proper use of shop vehicles, tools, equipment, and inventory in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management to support service department operations.
- Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment/commercial worksite equipment.
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays
- Familiar with Kawasaki and other products sold and serviced by Trailblazer Powersports
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems related to outdoor power equipment.
- Must have analytical, business planning, problem solving, communication, motivational and interpersonal people skills.
- Physical environment-ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing for prolonged periods and sitting.
