Phlebotomist - Lab
JOB SUMMARY: Obtains specimens for analysis from inpatients and outpatients following standard procedures for collection and documentation. Specimens include venipuncture, capillary sticks, heel sticks, and drug screens on patients of all ages. In addition, performs selected clerical and technical duties as assigned. Maintains a cooperative working relationship with patients, medical staff and interdepartmental personnel. New Hire Orientation is mandatory.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma/GED and completion of phlebotomy class from an accredited college or university; ASCP certification preferred; Previous experience preferred, but not required
