Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy
Performs a variety of technical pharmacy services. Provides clerical and technical assistance in operation of the hospital's pharmacy. Follow established procedures and standards. Assist in maintenance of appropriate records. Order entry using current methods, including transition to computerization. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Maintains relationships with local pharmacies and health centers, managing contracts and payments, and continual monitoring and auditing and reconciling reports from pharmacy and wholesaler on what is being ordered, paid, and dispensed to eligible patients.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of pharmacy experience preferred. Experience in a hospital setting a plus. Basic computer skills, writing, and organizational skills a must. Program planning, development and management experience preferred.
