Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately.
- Assist pharmacists with medication inventory management, ordering, and stock control to ensure availability of essential pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain strict adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance requirements.
- Support patient care by providing medication information, answering questions, and facilitating medication intake processes under supervision.
- Document all pharmacy activities meticulously, including medication administration records, intake logs, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings to support medication management and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred; LTC (Long-Term Care), critical care, or hospital experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, drug regulation, and pharmacy laws at the state and federal levels.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory compliance and medical safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately in high-pressure situations.
- Proven ability to provide excellent patient service and support patient care initiatives effectively.
