Job Description
Trident Consulting is seeking a "Chemistry Expert 1” for one of our client in " Cleveland, OH ". A global leader in business and technology services.
Job Title: Chemistry Expert 1 (Quality Control)
Location: Cleveland, OH (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Monday–Friday)
Pay Rate: $26/hr - $28/hr on W2(Inclusive all)
Job Summary
The Chemistry Expert 1 will support Quality Control (QC) laboratory operations by performing wet chemistry testing, analytical validation, and data review. The role requires hands-on laboratory experience, strong analytical thinking, and adherence to GMP, data integrity, and safety standards in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform wet chemistry testing including:
- IR (Infrared Spectroscopy)
- pH analysis
- Solubility testing
- Other routine analytical methods
- Execute validation protocols for wet chemistry methods
- Conduct peer review of analytical data to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Follow compendial methods (USP, EP, JP) for testing procedures
- Identify and investigate Out-of-Specification (OOS) results and determine root cause
- Perform instrument calibration and verification as scheduled
- Maintain compliance with:
- Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Data Integrity principles
- Accurately document all lab activities and results
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet QC and production timelines
- Work independently while handling routine tasks and special projects
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of wet chemistry techniques
- Familiarity with compendial testing methods (USP/EP/JP)
- Ability to analyze data and troubleshoot issues independently
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences 3 years of lab experience
OR - Associate Degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences 5 years of non-academic lab experience
- GMP laboratory experience preferred
