Location: 3800 W. 143rd Street, Cleveland, OH - 44111
Type: 1 year contract on W2 (*Opportunity to be hired FTE for the right fit and when headcount allows)
Shift Schedule: 1st shift hours typically 7:00am-3:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm
Summary:
Level I: 0-3 years. Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in an analytical lab setting testing customer samples. Assists higher level technicians and chemists in setup of laboratory equipment and in recording data for experiments and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Duties usually consist of making measurements, performing several routine quantitative and qualitative biological or chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures.
- Will be trained to use various instruments to prepare for and perform tests, including ICP, SEM, XRF, Titrations, IC, etc.
- Documenting and reporting results in an honest and professional manner
- Keen observation of experimental details and external factors
- Time management and recognition of work efficiency
- Creating a collaborative and inclusive work environment
- Performs routine and safety program checks and preventive maintenance on instruments.
- This is an entry-level position. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, an associate degree is desired, and 1-2 years experience in a lab setting is preferred.
Environment:
- Will be in an analytical lab. Role consists of testing paint samples, utilizing various lab instruments, etc.
PPE: Hard hat (while walking through the production facility), safety glasses, lab coat and safety shoes.
