Hourly Wage: $52.18-$54.83
Hours worked beyond the normal schedule will be paid at 1.75 times the regular rate. Trico has a partnership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 1116. This partnership aims to ensure fair wages and working conditions for all involved.

What You Will Do:
Are you ready to be part of a team that powers communities and drives innovation? At Trico Electric Cooperative, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Communication Technician. In this role you'll be responsible for operating, installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of communication systems. Also will be supporting Trico’s operational technologies, including SCADA and DNP networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and compliance with regulatory standards.
What You Bring to Trico:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Apprenticeship Program or a minimum of 5 years’ work experience as a Communication Technician with a trade school certification.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
- Prior experience in Electric Cooperative communications is preferred.
- Experience with DNP, microwave systems, IP addressing, and SCADA-related telecom software is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of project management principles and organizational best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software systems and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, communication software platforms) or the ability to learn such skills quickly and effectively.
