Location : Des Moines, IA
Duration : 13 Weeks Contract
Shift : Nights Mon - Thur, 830p - 7a, 40 hrs/week
Note: Traveler will be required to float across all campuses.
Unit Info:
- Patient Types: Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants. We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures.

Job description:
- Looking for Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with extensive Operating Room experience in hospital and medical center settings.
- Skilled in assisting surgeons during General, Robotics, Pediatrics, ENT, Orthopedic, Laparoscopic, and Urology procedures while maintaining sterile technique and ensuring patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- CST is responsible for assisting surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures in the Operating Room.
- Duties include preparing and maintaining sterile fields, setting up surgical instruments and equipment, performing surgical counts, ensuring proper sterilization of instruments and anticipating surgeon needs during procedures.
- Supports a wide range of specialties including General Surgery, Robotics, Pediatrics, ENT, Orthopedics, Laparoscopic and Urology procedures.
- Responsible for OR room setup and turnover, maintaining infection control standards, ensuring equipment functionality, and contributing to efficient surgical workflow in Level I and Level II trauma environments.
Requirements:
- 24 months of Operating Room experience in hospital/medical center setting [required]
- strong experience in General, Robotics, Pediatrics including ENT, Ortho, Laparoscopic, Urology procedures [required]
- Level I experience [highly preferred]
- Level II experience [required]
- NBSTSA certificate or equivalent accepted - [required]
- BLS Certificate β Required.
Pay: $2,320.00 - $2,400.00 per week
