A Counseling Office Coordinator is an administrative professional who manages the day-to-day operations of a counseling office, supporting both staff and clients. Duties
- Oversee daily office operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all administrative tasks.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment, and help implement and refine office procedures.
- Manage Referrals, scheduling, appointments, client records, and correspondence
- Handle medical collections and verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorization for services as needed
- Act as a first point of contact, manage client intake, and ensure a welcoming and confidential environment.
- Maintain accurate records and communication notes in EMR.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and counselors, and coordinate administrative activities for the office.
- Process referrals in a timely fashion and provide timely feedback to referral sources
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and policies.

- Technical proficiency:

A high school diploma is often the minimum requirement, but an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
