Join our dynamic team as a Network Cabling Technician and play a vital role in designing, installing, and maintaining high-quality telecommunications and security systems. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects involving structured cabling, fiber optics, and network infrastructure, ensuring seamless security systems for a variety of clients. Most of our cabling is to support Electronic Security Systems, Surveillance cameras , Access control systems and Intrusion Detection Systems
Duties
- Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cables across commercial and industrial sites
- Install cabling to support security systems
- Install Surveillance Cameras
- Install Access Control Components
- Troubleshooting electrical circuits and relays
- Use schematics, technical diagrams, and diagnostic tools to accurately diagnose and resolve network issues
- Read blueprints to support installation of equipment
- Maintain detailed documentation of cabling layouts, testing results, and system configurations. Labeling to support future troubleshooting
- Assist with equipment troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance to minimize downtime
- Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar field service role specializing in network cabling or telecommunications systems
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, Ethernet protocols, and network wiring standards
- Hands-on experience with low-voltage electrical wiring
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams accurately
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as Ohmmeters, network testers, and RF testing equipment for troubleshooting purposes
- Prior experience working with NEC electrical standards or low-voltage electrical systems is advantageous
- Usage of power tools and safe work practices is a must.
