Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic facilities team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and upkeep of our facilities through hands-on maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance practices.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems utilizing electrical experience, schematics, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding repairs on structural components or equipment as needed to maintain safety standards.
- Execute residential painting tasks to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the facility’s interior and exterior surfaces.
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to monitor and troubleshoot automated systems within the facility.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects while coordinating with team members or contractors to ensure timely completion.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client requests promptly and professionally.
- Lead or support team initiatives in manufacturing or other operational areas to improve efficiency and safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field within manufacturing or residential settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
- Hands-on welding skills for repairing metal components or structures.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in an industrial environment.
- Ability to read technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance teams is highly desirable.
- Competence in using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments for electrical troubleshooting.
