Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Development Specialist to join our team in supporting the growth and well-being of children with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral therapies, conduct comprehensive assessments, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to foster positive developmental outcomes. Duties
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy, and special education strategies to support children with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments to determine each child's unique needs, strengths, and goals
- Collect, analyze, and document data related to behavioral progress, medical records, and treatment outcomes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide direct patient care by delivering therapeutic interventions, monitoring progress, and adjusting strategies as needed for optimal results
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to coordinate services and ensure consistency across environments
- Perform intake assessments to gather comprehensive background information and facilitate appropriate service planning
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and reports to support ongoing treatment plans and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, special education, social work, or a related field; advanced certifications preferred
- Proven experience working with children who have developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral health principles, and diagnostic evaluation techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and patient assessment procedures
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately and utilize it to inform treatment decisions
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of medical records and sensitive information
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
