Job Overview: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining organized records of financial transactions.
Create Your Path: The Work You’ll Do:
- Review, verify, and process invoices, statements, purchase orders, receiving paperwork, and check requests prior to payment.
- Prepare disbursements and issue checks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Respond to inquiries from vendors, departments, and the Purchasing team.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements and accrued receiver balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with general accounting tasks as needed.
- Support payroll processing when requested.
- Aid the casino auditing function as required.
Job Requirements:
- Reflects minimum education, training, certification and experience required in order to meet the expectation of this job.
- Combination of education and experience equivalent to two years in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a computerized accounting environment.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Basic proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
