Role Description The Personal Lines Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Wake Forest, NC. This role is responsible for managing personal lines accounts, including home, auto, and other individual insurance policies, from quoting and binding coverage to policy changes, renewals, and reviews. The Personal Lines Account Manager will handle daily client communications, respond to coverage inquiries, process endorsements, and assist with billing and claims-related questions, ensuring a high level of service and client retention. The role includes collaborating with producers and carrier partners, preparing proposals, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and maintaining accurate records in the agency management system. The Account Manager will also follow agency procedures, support compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented office environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with personal lines insurance account management, including policy quoting, binding, servicing, and renewals.
- Strong client service and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, explain coverage clearly, and resolve issues professionally.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Proficiency with insurance agency management systems and common office software (e.g., CRM tools, Microsoft Office or equivalent).
- Attention to detail and analytical skills for reviewing policies, identifying coverage gaps, and supporting risk management recommendations.
- North Carolina Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe) preferred.
- Prior experience in an independent insurance agency or similar environment is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Wake Forest, NC, collaborate with team members, and uphold ethical, client-focused professional standards.
