About The Role
This position focuses on processing steel rule-cutting, bending, notching, and preparing rule segments used to build precision cutting dies. If you enjoy machine work that requires accuracy, tight tolerances, and consistency, this is a strong fit.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate rule bending/processing equipment according to job tickets and CAD layouts
- Load steel rule, run bending/notching operations, and verify accuracy before release
- Measure and inspect output to ensure bends, angles, and lengths meet specifications
- Adjust settings and troubleshoot process issues to maintain quality and minimize waste
- Maintain logs, counts, and quality checks in the system
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and keep equipment clean and ready
- Work closely with Die Makers and production teammates to prioritize and meet schedules
- Support cross-training and assist on other equipment when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area (PPE required)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior machine operation experience in manufacturing preferred (die making/printing/packaging/converting is a plus)
- Ability to read job tickets, CAD images, and basic blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail
- Basic math and measuring skills (tape measure, tolerances, counts)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment with deadlines
- Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to quality and safety
- Manufacturing floor environment; PPE required
- Standing/walking/bending and repetitive motions
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work safely around sharp materials, moving equipment, and power machinery
