What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at Triangle Grading & Paving, Inc?
Triangle Grading and Paving, Inc. is looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team! In this role, you will safely and efficiently operate various heavy machinery, including front-end loaders, motor graders, bulldozers, track hoes, excavators, rollers, and more, to support our excavation, construction, and maintenance projects. Pay is dependent upon experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, graders, backhoes, bulldozers, and other types of machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip inspections and perform maintenance duties on equipment.
- Assist labor crews and other operators in accomplishing specific tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
Skill and Abilities
- Knowledge of the operating procedures and maintenance of equipment operated.
- General knowledge of the hazards and safety rules and regulations in equipment operation.
- Ability to perform physical labor required of the position.
- Possess high skill level in the operation of assigned equipment.
